Lube Technician

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure all plant equipment is lubricated regularly according to manufacturer recommendations, including process and facility equipment.
• Communicate potential problems as they arise.
• Liaise with lubrication and filter suppliers on all issues.
• Maintain and control inventory levels.
• Implement proper identification and disposal of waste oil in accordance with Goodyear and M.O.E. guidelines. - Check levels on all hydraulic tanks in curing areas.
• Fill hydraulic tanks as required.
• Receive and unload oil deliveries from tankers.
• Dispose of waste oil via tanker or drum and document accordingly.
• Order and restock air filters.
• Take oil samples and document all test results.Monitor equipment oil levels and temperatures.
• Complete assigned plant-wide preventative maintenance (PM) tasks.
• Top up auto greasers throughout the plant.
