Responsibilities
Classify merchandise according to customs government regulations, restrictions, and import/export duty rates.
Fill entry forms based on commodity.
Interface with customers on customs-related issues.
Type or otherwise prepare various operations reports.
Maintain and audit all records and files as assigned.
Provide administrative and clerical support to Manager.
Help lift and move packages within the bonded area when necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
Previous clerical or customer service experience in a service environment.
Eighteen months experience in customs clearance broker activities.
Knowledge of import and export duty rates.
General office skills including light typing, filing, and computer literacy.
Good communication and human relations skills.
Ability to lift 75 lbs and move any single package up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
