Become a vital part of the Alberta Securities Commission as Legal Counsel. Offer legal expertise in privacy, procurement, and corporate law within a hybrid work model.
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will deliver key legal advice to Executive Management and staff across various regulatory matters. Your role includes supporting the Privacy Office, advising on access to information requests, and ensuring compliance with securities laws. The ideal candidate will bring legal experience in privacy and technology law to address diverse corporate legal needs.
Key Responsibilities: • Support ASC’s Privacy Management Program, ensuring POPA compliance • Advise on access to information requests and ATIA adherence • Negotiate and draft IT vendor agreements and contracts • Update legal templates related to cyber security and vendor risk • Provide legal services for intergovernmental agreements and commercial contracts
