Opportunity Description
Serves as a spokesperson for Tribal Members in criminal matters within the Jurisdiction of the Warm Springs Tribal Court. Basic knowledge of the Warm Springs Tribal Code, Rules of Court, Indian Civil Rights Act, and the Tribal Constitution By-Laws. Research and analytical reading/writing skills as well as reflective listening skills. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel). Ability to use sound, independent judgment; be compatible with people of all walks of life. Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality. Willing to train applicants. Requirements Associate's Degree in a legal field or three years' experience in the legal field with at least one year in tribal or federal Indian Law, or equivalent. Must pass the Tribal Bar Exam within three months or hire. Must also submit and pass a criminal background check with Federal, Tribal and State Law Enforcement.
