Laundry Worker

Summary The Laundry Worker works within the Environmental Management Services Department. The incumbent contributes in the processing and distribution of completing all laundry duties by processing and distributing all linen for Patient Care areas within the Medical Center. Responsibilities Duties Include but are not limited too: Receives stores and distributes linen. All linen is received in bulk from the contracted linen provider. Unloads and loads linen as required and delivers carts to designated areas. Makes adjustments when an adequate amount of linen is not available to meet each par level. Assist in stocking the scrub-x machine, prepares pajamas and scrub suits for distribution. Provides the customer with consistent information according to established policies and procedures. Consistently communicates and treats customers (patients, visitors, volunteers, and all Medical Center staff) in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner.
