Junior Wildlife Biologist - Field Operations Role

Make a difference with Onterris as a Junior Wildlife Biologist on a northern Alberta mine site. Support critical wildlife research and management efforts with your field expertise.
In this full-time role on a rotating schedule, you will assist in wildlife surveys, including bird assessments and nest sweeps. Strong data collection skills and attention to safety will be key as you work alongside the field crew in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support bird surveys and nest sweeping activities
• Collaborate on safety plans and risk assessments
• Provide accurate digital data and support documentation efforts
• Communicate daily updates to project leads
• Participate actively in camp-based field operations
Requirements:
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Biology, Ecology, or similar fields
• 2-4+ years of hands-on wildlife experience
• Proficient in digital data collection
• Valid Class 5 driver's license essential
