Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase raw materials, packaging materials, and indirect supplies.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in the ERP system.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Production Planning to ensure material availability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Source alternative suppliers to mitigate supply risks.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues.
- Work with QA to ensure purchased materials meet quality and food safety requirements.
- Track market trends and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procurement procedures.
