Senior Software Engineer (Contract)

The Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale backend systems and platform capabilities that power high-traffic digital products and operational workflows. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building reliable, maintainable, and scalable production systems while contributing to long-term architectural direction and engineering best practices. The ideal candidate is a strong backend engineer with deep experience building and operating distributed systems at scale. You should be comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to observability, deployment strategy, and operational support. This role also requires strong collaboration skills, mentorship capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in modern AI-assisted engineering environments.
Experience within ecommerce, subscription platforms, fulfillment systems, or billing ecosystems is highly preferred.
