Senior Power System Study Engineer

Location: Burnaby, BC or Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities

• Define the scope and budget for power system studies mandates.
• Perform/review power system studies:
  • Substation grounding & lightning studies.
  • Substation Bus studies.
  • Electromagnetic Transient Studies.
  • AC interference on pipelines and railway infrastructure from power lines and substation ground grids.
  • Cable Sizing Studies.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings.
• Must have excellent command over following software tools: CDEGS, ETAP, WinIGS, CYMCAP, ASPEN OneLiner, PSCAD.
• Planning, scheduling, estimation, and engineering coordination with other disciplines.
• Attend design review and constructability meetings with customers and represent system studies discipline.
