Opportunity Description
McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world's largest high‑grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions‑free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.
Responsibilities
- Operate, inspect, and maintain the main cage and skip conveyance.
- Prepare equipment and materials to be moved to and from the underground using slings and rigging.
- Operate various equipment such as JCB loader and skid steer loader.
- Work alongside a diverse workforce (Cameco employees, contractors, and trade personnel).
- Fulfil all duties as detailed in the mine shaft 1 operator training requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent.
