Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Position: Mechanical Engineer (B+P Canada) – responsible for mechanical design, construction administration and field inspections across commercial, institutional and light industrial projects.

Location: Markham/Thornhill, hybrid work model with occasional travel to nearby cities.

Major Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical project design and construction administration.
• Develop primary design and detailed design from concept to final drawings.
• Design HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and controls systems; perform HVAC calculations with Carrier HAP.
• Conduct design drawing reviews, field investigations and prepare field inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes (OBC, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, CSA) and client standards.
• Write and edit mechanical specifications and design reports.
