Your Opportunity:

The Stollery Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located at the Sturgeon Community Hospital (SCH) is an 8 bed level 2 NICU. The NICU supports the Labour and Delivery (Unit 25) at the SCH as well as accepts babies from the other NICUs in the Edmonton Zone. The program utilizes a Family Centered Care philosophy within an interdisciplinary team model. The LPN demonstrates competency in delivering safe, effective and efficient care for the level 2 NICU patients. The successful LPN candidate assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team members following hospital/provincial policies and nursing care standards. The LPN is able to function at full scope of practice as defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta.
