Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the City’s Water Resources Management and Source Water Protection strategies.
• Serve as the City’s representative for the revitalized Hamilton Harbour Remedial Action Plan.
• Ensure Water Protection Services are implemented in accordance with the Clean Water Act and associated provincial/federal requirements.
• Establish and achieve departmental/divisional goals and objectives, and report on sectional performance against appropriate benchmarks.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners, government agencies, and stakeholders to support watershed governance.
• Plan and oversee the capital implementation strategy for all water resource management related work, following city and provincial guidelines, policies, and regulations.
