About This Opportunity

As a member of a dynamic development team, the Embedded Software Designer (Platform Software) will actively design and develop embedded software for next‑generation Optical Transport products. The role reports to the Sr. Manager, Software Development. What You’ll Do

Maintain and upgrade Linux From Scratch (LFS) systems. Upgrade the Linux kernel and port custom out‑of‑tree patches. Backport upstream patches to the kernel to support existing user space. Maintain existing kernel drivers and add new features as required. Upgrade Buildroot, port custom patches, and maintain system startup scripts. Integrate third‑party vendor libraries into the LFS system. Collaborate with FPGA designers to add SW support for new features and debug existing ones. Support new board bring‑up and configure/build firmware for early boot. Customize U‑Boot and kernel configuration, create and adapt Device Tree configurations.
