Position Overview
Multimatic’s Damper Design team is looking for a Design Engineer to develop new suspension damper products and support existing product lines. The ideal candidate uses a data‑driven approach with creative thinking to solve problems, and enjoys the fast‑pace of the automotive industry. This role requires product ownership from concept generation to high‑volume production launch while working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
Design Engineer Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate innovative design concepts to meet customer requirements, incorporating design for manufacturing (DFM) feedback in a wide range of manufacturing processes.
- 3D modelling (Siemens NX) of components and assemblies within vehicle environments.
- Drafting using GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and identifying significant characteristics.
