Assistant Shift Engineer (Toronto)

Duties

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the Walton Street Steam Plant, and other duties as directed by the Plant VP, WSSP Operations.
• Promote, ensure and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
• Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, and Enwave HSE policies, programs and procedures.

Qualifications

• Hold a 2nd Class Operating Engineer Certificate or be in a position to obtain a 2nd class OE certificate within four months of accepting this position.
• Have strong technical skills and be able to work safely alone or in a team environment.
• Process the skills and confidence to successfully perform the duties of the shift engineer as required.
• Must be capable of performing basic maintenance tasks as required.
• Be able to perform and Confined Space tasks.
