IR Technologist

OVERVIEW

Performs a variety of technical procedures in CT and radiography that will require a certain amount of independent judgment. May be involved in some teaching of students in the practical aspect of Radiography and CT.

EDUCATION

• Satisfactory completion of formal radiography training in an approved Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (training school or equivalent)
• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario
• Advanced knowledge/education in anatomy and physiology, including cross-sectional anatomy preferred

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years CT Technologist experience in the last three years preferred
• Minimum 2 years helical multi‑slice CT scan experience preferred
• Interventional Radiology and CT procedure experience strongly preferred.
