Investigative Registered Nurse

Summary Investigative Registered Nurse (IRN) functions as advanced clinical and administrative investigator within the Quality Management Service. The nurse provides leadership and expert-level consultation in the evaluation of patient care events, documentation concerns, adverse outcomes, and organizational processes related to patient safety, clinical risk, and quality of care. Responsibilities Duties included but are not limited to: Investigative Registered Nurse (IRN) independently plans, conducts, coordinates and leads facility-level investigations to include Administrative Investigative Boards, Fact Findings, Harassment Prevention Program and Office of Inspector General Hotline Referrals, ensuring compliance with VHA policy, regulatory requirements, and accrediting body standards.
