Interim Senior Accountant, Capital

Description

Located in Calgary, the individual in the Interim Senior Accountant role will report to the Supervisor, Accounting, Transportation. The Interim Senior Accountant will primarily be responsible for leading accurate and timely reporting of capital projects across the Long Haul and Conventional pipeline systems. This role prepares and/or reviews analysis related to the capital project portfolio, governs month‑end processes, and ensures financial information is consistent with IPL’s accounting policies, internal controls, and IFRS requirements.

This position is being posted as a 12‑month contract term.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end capital close process and prepare and/or review components of monthly, quarterly, and annual capital reporting packages and disclosures (including ARO schedules), ensuring accuracy and completeness for internal and external reporting.
