Instructor (Marine Engineering)

The Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University is North America’s most comprehensive marine institute dedicated to education, training, applied research, industrial response, and technology transfer supporting oceans industries. Within the Marine Institute, the School of Maritime Studies offers a range of diploma, certificate, and degree programs in marine transportation. We are seeking qualified faculty to assist with the development and delivery of these programs, which include in‑class and online course modes.

DUTIES

Teach the Diploma of Marine Engineering Technology and/or other Transport Canada Certification programs, including Marine Diesel Mechanic and short industrial training courses.

Develop course materials and curriculum as part of the ongoing program review process.

Participate with other instructors in the program review process.

Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
