Responsibilities Performs maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of mechanical equipment; assists in the repair of the mechanical/hydraulic portion of the overall storage modernization system. Diagnoses, disassembles, repairs, and reassembles mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and subsystems. Performs general and scheduled preventive maintenance of equipment, such as stock retrieval systems, and overhead and conveyor systems. Loads, tests, and inspects lifting devices in accordance with regulations and manuals. Removes, capacity checks, charges, and fills and drains lead acid type batteries used in material handling equipment (MHE). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicants will be rated in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management Qualification Standard for Trades and Labor Occupations.
