Indigenous Workforce Development Coordinator

Position Overview

This position reports to the Shared Health Indigenous Health Provincial Planning Director and will contribute to the development of an Indigenous representative workforce within Shared Health and health authorities. The Indigenous Workforce Development Coordinator will support and has an integral role in the recruitment and retention of Indigenous employees across the organization. This position provides human resource support, with a strong focus on creating a culturally safe and inclusive workplace while guiding and supporting Indigenous applicants and employees in their health care career journey.

The Indigenous Workforce Development Coordinator will work with the Shared Health Indigenous human resources team, as well as other programs such as the Health Care Recruitment and Retention Office (HCRRO) in implementing recruitment and retention initiatives related to the Provincial Indigenous Health Operating Model.
