Position Overview

Under the direction of the Manager of Health Services, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating care related to specialized breastfeeding support for the Women’s Health Program. This includes providing quality care grounded in an Indigenous worldview, acting as a resource to other health care professionals, participating in the discharge process, educating patients, families, staff and students regarding Indigenous breastfeeding knowledge and beliefs, and performing other related duties as assigned.

This is a Designated Indigenous Position. The position may be held by someone of Indigenous ancestry: First Nation, Métis, Inuit and/or Non-Status.
