Heavy Equipment Welder Elk Valley

Join Elk Valley Resources as a Heavy Equipment Welder, responsible for maintaining and repairing mining equipment in an industrial site environment. This full-time position follows a 4×4 schedule and requires reliable commuting to Sparwood, B.C.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be integral to the maintenance team, using your skills as a Red Seal Welder. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and fabricating critical structures and equipment, alongside adhering to safety policies. Prior mining experience is advantageous as you collaborate with fellow tradespeople to provide innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Repair and maintain mining equipment and structures
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance as needed
• Utilize welding processes: FCAW, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW
• Grind and repair cracks in heavy equipment
• Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople
