About the role
The hammer operator is part of the mine operations team. He/she transports ore and waste rock to the surface.
- Ensure the transport and passage of ore and waste rock to the concentrator or surface
- Tasks may be split between underground and surface in remote operation
- Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly in terms of health and safety
- Any tasks related to the performance of his/her duties
Training & Experience
- DEP in ore extraction or equivalent experience
- Possess zero (0) to two (2) years' experience
- Possess the modular mine worker training card
- Hold a general explosives permit
- Possess a valid driver's license
