Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP)
Join our Team! Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is currently seeking candidates to work per-diem (4-10hrs/week) as Group Facilitators. As the Group Facilitator, you provide group facilitation for the Men’s Domestic Violence Intervention Program.
The mission of the group is to teach men how to identify, challenge, and change their core beliefs that support the use of violence with their intimate partners. These are educational classes following a standardized format to confront abusive behavior and help support a way of thinking and reacting that is free of power and control. DVIP classes are run by two co-facilitators, a male and a female. Classes are held in-person and virtually.
