About the role
Reporting to the Senior Geologist Supervisor, Modelling & Estimation, the Geologist, Modelling & Estimation is responsible for providing business-wide technical leadership in geological modelling, resource and reserve estimation workflows, and resource governance across Elk Valley Resources’ four operating mines and multiple projects.
The position is based at EVR’s Sparwood head office and is a permanent, full-time role, with occasional travel to local operations.
To be successful, we are looking for someone technically strong, intellectually curious, and motivated to challenge the status quo. You bring a solid foundation in coal resource modelling and estimation, strong computer science and data analysis skills, and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement, sound scientific practice, and high-quality technical documentation.
