GENERAL ENGINEER

Summary You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the Engineering Department (200) of SUPSHIP GULF COAST. You will serve as a Waterfront Project Engineer responsible directly for contract administration of new construction, conversion, design, development and/or overhaul contracts. Responsibilities You will provide consultative services, monitor various programs, and review and an approval of engineering studies, drawings, test procedures, technical manuals, other technical documentation, and design change proposals. You will provide engineering support and services to other SUPSHIP Departments, ship's force, NAVSEA and other DoD agencies. You will resolve engineering issues in support of a particular project and ship class. You will ensure that technically acceptable ships and crafts are designed, fabricated, and tested.
