Norges Bank, Norway’s central bank, promotes economic stability and manages key responsibilities in monetary policy, financial markets, and financial stability. We are now seeking a Director of Research. The Research Unit is recognized by the Research Council of Norway as an official research institute. As a Director of Research, you play a pivotal part in supporting Norges Bank’s key responsibilities by advancing policy-relevant research, fostering high standards in theoretical and empirical methods across the Bank, and supporting the further development of the data and analytical infrastructure.
- The Director of Research reports to the Executive Director of Monetary Policy and serves as a member of the monetary policy management team. The research unit comprises 12 permanent research staff, plus research assistants and PhD interns and collaborates extensively with external researchers.
