Forklift operator (warehouse)

Responsibilities Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy industrial environments Safely loading and unloading trucks Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages Using industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transport Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods Qualifications Matric Valid certification to operate forklifts Excellent Communication skills (Verbal and written) Experience and Training Proven experience as forklift operator Knowledge of SQAS would be advantageous Previous warehouse experience Hazardous materials training, as needed Abilities Use own initiative Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety ...
