About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fitter to join a busy fabrication shop supporting commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. In this role, you'll read blueprints, fit and assemble structural steel components, operate fabrication equipment, and perform welding as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components (beams, columns, frames, pedways,
- Cut, drill, bend, roll, and prepare steel using fabrication equipment
- Tack weld and fit components for final assembly
- Operate overhead cranes safely
- Perform MCAW, FCAW, and SMAW welding
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
