About the Opportunity
The District of Lake Country’s Lake Country Fire Department has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full‑time Fire and Rescue Technician (Firefighter & Driver-Operator) based in Lake Country, BC. This position’s work hours are based on an average 42‑hour work week, which may include day or night shifts on weekdays, weekends and/or statutory holidays. Under the direction of the Fire Chief or designate(s), the Fire Rescue Technician works as a key member of their assigned team when responding to emergency incidents, non‑emergency incidents, and public safety complaints as part of the composite firefighting force.
Responsibilities
Your Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited:
- Provide technical services to key fire department program areas, such as:
- Maintaining fire apparatus;
- Maintaining fire equipment;
- Maintaining fire facilities;
