Field Service Engineer - Early Career Trainee

Job Summary

Early Career internship (12 months) at GE Vernova, Grid Solutions office sites. Internship focuses on developing general field technical skills and providing on‑the‑job knowledge to serve client sites.

Responsibilities

• Support GEV engineer in preparing signal lists from schematics and other documents.
• Handle engineering and field service work for protection relays, panel modification, protection logic diagrams, GA/LA, bill of materials, purchasing requests, protection/SCMS/LCC schematics, SCMS cyber‑security architectures, SCMS signal lists, cable schedules, control desk drawings, IEC61850 signal mapping, etc.
• Support production documents: wiring tables, label lists, cable schedules, interpanel wiring files; perform CT/VT adequacy checks; conduct relay setting calculations.
• Assist GEV engineer with field services for substation automation systems (DCS/SCS, RTU, cyber security).
