Position Overview
Family Physician – Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) at Northern Health, collaborating with Hazelton Primary Care Network. 0.5 FTE (approximately 840–1,050 hours per year) in Hazelton, BC.
Scope of Practice & Key Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance OAT care for approximately 20 patients per month, including initiations and inpatient OAT consultations as clinically required.
- Maintain a minimum patient panel of 325 patients.
- No on‑call or emergency department responsibilities.
- Work within an interdisciplinary team, supported by community mental health and substance use workers.
Licensing & Certification Requirements
- Current license of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) – mandatory.
- Provisional or full Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) – desired.
