Overview

A Family Physician position at Mayne Island Health Clinic, a modern rural primary‑care clinic supported by a comprehensive team including RN, virtual mental health, substance use counseling, home care, and palliative care professionals.

Responsibilities

Provide primary‑care services to the residents of Mayne Island, assist in emergencies and occasional BCAS calls, and participate in orientation with the currently practicing physician. Establish clinic hours in coordination with colleagues; on‑call duties include one weeknight overnight (1700‑0800) one weekend per month and other light on‑call responsibilities shared 1:4 with colleagues on Pender and Galiano Islands.

Clinic Features

Well‑equipped, fully functional EMR (Accuro), state‑of‑the‑art treatment room, medication supply, reception area, heli‑pad, BCAS on site. Transfer to Victoria hospitals by air or water ambulance within 1–2 h.
