Factory Manager - UNICOR

Summary Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. Responsibilities Oversees and directs the operations of a business or production activity, commonly referred to as a factory, for Federal Prison Industries (trade name UNICOR), at a Federal Bureau of Prisons correctional facility. Responsible for the direct supervision of civilian staff members and indirect supervision of the inmate workers in the factory. Responsible for receipt, technical review and acceptance of assigned contracts and for their integration into existing production schedules, training programs, facility usage and for proper manpower utilization. Maintains close liaison with the UNICOR management staff at the facility and program management staff at the UNICOR corporate office to ensure a smooth and efficient factory operation.
