Opportunity Description
Join Extendicare as a Registered Nurse at our upcoming Forest Trail Home located in Peterborough, Ontario. This role starts as casual and transitions to part-time or full-time in Fall 2026.
You will report directly to the Director of Care, performing direct resident care duties, medication administration, and ensuring adherence to health policies. This position is vital for maintaining high standards of care within our long-term care framework, with a special focus on geriatric needs and family education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete care assessments and document resident updates
• Administer medications, following strict regulatory standards
• Support care coordination with healthcare teams
• Supervise nursing students and Unregulated Care Providers
• Manage healthcare emergencies and address resident concerns
