Estimator - Fire Protection

Job Description

The Estimator is a motivated, organized, and personable individual willing to contribute his/her experience and expertise in the area of estimating. The Estimator prepares quotations based on reviewing construction drawings and specifications and provides support and assistance to his coworkers in a team environment.

Task & Responsibilities

• Preparation of quotations based on reviewing construction drawings and specifications
• Layout of fire protection systems, including but not limited to sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, fire pump and special fire suppression systems in accordance with codes
• Produce a quantity take off list of material, labour and other construction factors to produce a cost estimate
• Preparation of a detailed quotation letter to send to customer(s) in a competitive situation
• Communication with General Contractors, Engineers, Architects and Owners
