Qualifications
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years or equivalent experience
- Type of experience: Commercial and/or industrial construction
- Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Word
- Security and safety: Criminal record check, Drug test
Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
- Prepare pre‑qualification submissions to present clients
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
- Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bid forms
- Utilize quantity take‑off procedures
- Advise on tendering procedures
- Analyze tenders and recommend awards
- Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
