Job Description
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Inspects, tests, adjusts, and balances heating, cooling, and ventilating systems (HVAC) in the schools and other school district buildings. Installs and repairs hot-air furnaces, air conditioners, appliances, and similar equipment. Responds to emergency calls as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Studies system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine the configuration and purpose of system components such as motors, pumps, fans, switches, ducts, or pipes.
Installs, repairs, calibrates, maintains, and replaces pneumatic and DDC refrigeration, heating, and standard electrical system components including controls, compressors, thermostats for chillers for heating and cooling, cooling towers, and cooling equipment, and other items.
