Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as an expert in 3D solid modeling software and standards. Responsibilities Work with engineers to develop design alternatives to be proposed in general and detailed design memoranda by researching available information on the mechanical, electrical, and structural equipment and planning and developing the equipment layout. Use computer aided drafting techniques to take very basic sketches prepared by the engineer and develop them into complicated 3D solids models, preliminary and final plans of design features and equipment proposed in design memoranda. Work with engineers to develop preliminary and final contract plans and specifications for engineering unique design features.
