Engineering Technician

Summary This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Field Organization, Plains Area (PA), National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF), Manhattan, KS. In this position, the incumbent will serve as the Engineering Technician responsible for supervising, managing and ensuring the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) using Maximo software are in constant optimal operational condition. Responsibilities Serves as a technical advisor to planners, supervisors, worker-in-charge, Facilities Director, and Chief Facilities Engineer in the functions and data contained in CMMS. Administers the work order system that schedules and controls the activities of maintenance crews, and assures materials, part, tools, supplies, equipment and required workers are scheduled and available.
