Engineering Co-op, Electrical (Stations) (Surrey)

Position Overview

The assignment will provide opportunities for engagement with engineers, managers and others in different departments in the organization, and provide an understanding of some of the workings within the operating and engineering groups at FortisBC.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of complex technical functions relating to the research, location, development, design and installation of major instrumentation measurement and control communications and electrical systems.
• Maintain liaison with other FortisBC departments, field staff, consultants, manufacturers, contractors and government agencies concerning technical work on assigned projects.
• Prepare schedules and progress reports, monitor progress, issue drawings, initiate correspondence, maintain project records and files.
• Assemble a variety of drawings, material lists, maps, survey data, photographs, environmental data and related information.
