Responsibilities

• Conduct broad range of surveying and engineering related duties in conjunction with the administration, maintenance and operations of highways and bridges.
• Review and administer Work Within Highway Right‑of‑Way Permits and assess subdivision/development plans.
• Assist with contract administration and collect, compile and present data collected during field work and determine quantities of materials for use on projects.
• Assist supervisors and managers with maintenance project planning, designs, permitting and oversight.
• Conduct field surveys to confirm property and highway boundaries.
• Collect field survey data with GPS and total station equipment, plot and prepare CAD drawings and sketches.
• Maintain and disseminate signage and pavement marking plans, highway right‑of‑way plans, and other official records.
