We are looking for motivated new colleagues with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, the experience or potential to work on primary or secondary legislation, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to deliver results.

Roles:

• Policy Advisor – 4 permanent + 1 fixed‑term (12 months)
• Senior Policy Advisor – 3 fixed‑term (5, 12, 18 months)

The Energy Markets Branch has a high priority work programme to ensure New Zealand has secure, sustainable, and affordable energy. You will be responsible for leading or being involved in complex policy analysis and providing authoritative policy advice. For more senior roles you will also coach and mentor others.
