Employee Relations Intern at Seaspan Shipyards

Seaspan Shipyards is seeking an Employee Relations Intern to join our ER team at our North Vancouver location. This full-time, on-site internship supports grievance management, employee engagement initiatives, and policy interpretation.
As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience working closely with the Employee Relations team. Your role involves preparing for grievance meetings and assisting with the interpretation of collective agreements in a unionized environment. A focus on fostering employee engagement through diversity and inclusion will be key in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate complaints under the Respect in the Workplace Policy
• Assist with grievance and dispute preparation and management
• Proactively guide managers in policy application
• Promote employee engagement and diversity initiatives
• Undertake other assigned responsibilities
