Opportunity Description
Khalsa School Newton is seeking homeroom teachers for Grade 1, 2 and 3 in all subjects. The school is an IB MYP authorized faith‑based elementary school located at Street in Surrey, BC. Teachers from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The role is for the 2026‑2027 school year, starting September 1, 2026.
Positions
- Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher – Start Date: September 1, 2026
- Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher – Start Date: September 1, 2026
- Grade 3 Homeroom Teacher – Start Date: September 1, 2026
Salary: $6,600 per month for a 10‑month fixed length contract. Only offered to CoQ teachers or those with a completed application with the Teacher Certification Branch for a CoQ. Subject‑restricted Independent School Certified Teachers are invited to apply. Teaching experience in Canada may result in a higher starting salary for CoQ teachers.
