Electrical Engineer Terms of Reference for Hirundo’s Mohale’s Hoek Wind Farm (60 MW) in Lesotho. The role supports planning, design, optimization, stakeholder alignment, and bankable costing of the project’s electrical infrastructure, including the grid connection to the existing substation and intra-farm electrical network.

Responsibilities / Scope of Work

• Grid Connection Concept Optimization & Design: Review transmission network information, grid studies, and connection options; design and evaluate alternative grid connection concepts; assess transformer siting (33kV to 132kV), substation location options, and PCC requirements; develop substation configurations, protection/ control philosophy, grounding, and preliminary layouts; prepare single-line diagrams, layout drawings, preliminary equipment schedules, and cost estimates for project finance due diligence.
