Electrical Distribution Designer

Reporting to the Team Lead – FortisAB & Lighting, the Electrical Distribution Designer will be responsible for the design of underground electrical distribution infrastructure (4kV – 25kV system voltages) and roadway lighting electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design of underground electrical distribution infrastructure (4kV – 25kV system voltages), both utility-owned and private, and electrical systems for outdoor lighting and parks,
• Electrical engineering calculations for electrical systems,
• Interpret and apply working knowledge of applicable codes and utility standards,
• Develop power distribution and auxiliary systems designs in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation such as single line diagrams, wiring schematics, photometric layouts, grounding details, etc.
