Opportunity Description
We are looking for a few RCAs to complement our existing care team looking after my bedbound 94yr old mother who has vascular dementia. LPNs will also be considered. Hours would be part-time to fit in and expand the existing schedule.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with bathing, and providing nursing and personal care as needed. Prior experience (minimum five years) in dementia care is required. Our priority is to find someone who is reliable, patient, and attentive to the needs of our family member, and who clicks well with our existing care team members.
In no particular order, duties include:
1. Meal planning, preparation and clean up,
2. Companionship,
3. Hygiene and peri-care under the direction of home health care nurse/case manager
4. Transferring client from bed to wheelchair and back using an Easytrack overhead lift and sling
5. Laundry
6. Light cleaning and vacuuming,
7. Miscellaneous tasks as needs arise
